The exploration of the world

An interpretation of the socio-economic conditions experienced in urban environments

As the basis for consciousness becomes entwined with complexity, at times the easiest and most elegant solution is often the simplest one, as it denotes the accomplishment of the beauty of achieving more with less.
This series was a created and inspired by the voice of a generation (YHLQMDLG)

The nose is expressed in a 3 dimensional perspective, whereas the rest of the face is flattened & translated to 2 dimensions, conveying the complexity of the multi-dimensional personality

A reflection of what is to occur
This series is tailored as a response from urban artists for a 100% affordable housing project, the project site is located across the street from my childhood stomping grounds

When conducting graffiti abatement, instead of completely negating the original urban artist's response to the site; the artwork's outline was used as a notion to expand intention to create a piece that would not warrant citation from the local jurisdiction.

After the exploration of current economic conditions was identified, I expanded on the piece by deconstructing its base form and placing color spectrum values to denote societal norms.

The corner is seen as a point of convergence, as this piece reflects the forward outlook of what is currently being managed to aid the housing crisis. The value of this piece represents the percentage of a 9-figure build cost, and it represents the current funding gap that once secured will position this project for fruition.
